Insurance Expiry Calculator
See exactly when your policy ends, the date to start comparing quotes, and set a reminder so it never lapses.
Don't know the expiry date? Work it out from the issue date (optional)
Some documents expire the day before the anniversary of issue — check the date printed on yours.
🔒 Works in your browser — what you enter isn't sent to us unless you ask for an email reminder.
How to use it
Enter the policy's end date — it's on your policy schedule or renewal notice. Don't have it to hand? Open Work it out from the issue date and enter the start date and the term (usually 1 year; 3 years for some new-car third-party cover).
Add how many weeks you want for comparing quotes, and the calculator tells you the date to start.
Why not just wait for the renewal notice?
- Auto-renewal is often the most expensive option. Shopping around a few weeks before the end date usually gets a better price.
- A lapse can cost more than the premium. Driving without valid motor cover is an offence in most countries, and a break in cover can mean losing a no-claim bonus or waiting periods starting over on health cover.
- Renewal notices go to old addresses and spam folders.
Add it to your calendar or get an email before the date — or let Remindon read the date straight from a photo of the policy.
